‘Farmers For America,’ will screen Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 12 at E Street Cinema, 555 11th St. NW, Washington, D.C.
The documentary, which is narrated by popular TV host and podcaster Mike Rowe, will screen at 7 p.m. followed by a panel discussion with Calvin Riggleman, an Iraq war veteran turned farmer-entrepreneur from Hampshire County, West Virginia, and Julia Feder, the executive director of FRESHFARM, which operates 16 farmers markets in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland and promotes accessible, affordable and sustainable food in the region. The panel will be moderated by the filmmaker Graham Meriwether.
